Kid's Annual Photos

One of my favorite things to do with my kids is taking them to get their pictures taken.  It's never easy, always exhausting, but worth every moment and penny!  This layout is all about kids.  Here is the Let's Scrap sketch I used:

Joseph LOVED this photo shoot, especially playing with the hat.  The photographer threw a football to him and then had him throw it back, this kept him giggling nonstop!  Made for great photos!  My sweet little 2 year old boy is getting so big!  The journaling reads, "Joseph is 2 years old and full of fun!  He loves race cars, soccer, and Blues Clues.  But his favorite activity is a game he calls 'Get You!'"

Chloe was a riot through out the photo shoot.  She loves to be the center of attention and is wasn't hard to get her to pose!  She's growing so fast into such a beautiful girl.  The journaling reads, "Chloe is 5 years old and lives to be the center of attention.  She loves to draw, sing, dance, and play with her dollhouse."

Alex was not thrilled to be photographed, especially because there were Legos in the waiting room that he had to leave behind.  He did pretty well though once we got him giggling and wearing that hat!  The journaling says, "Alex is 7 years old and is extremely curious.  He is fascinated with video games, hates doing homework, and often says he "loves his family."

Soccer Star!

I used this sketch for the second page of Chloe's soccer layout, from Let's Scrap:

For the first page, I just matted a mini-poster the team gave to each player.

This page is based off of the sketch.

My incredibly active girl LOVED being on the team and is hoping to do it again this summer!  She is only 4 years old in these pictures but was easily the tallest child on the team!  She's the one in the pigtails dancing in the top right photo.

Biker Chick!

This is the first time I've created a layout from a card sketch!  Loved Let's Scrap's sketch and a beautiful layout done by Jessica Navarro in their Gallery.  Here's my take:

I used silver brads to create a nail-head trim.  The helmet and motorcycle stickers are from Jolee's and the lettering in the title is Colorblok.  I made my own stencil for the left side out of cardstock (lots of tries to get that perfect!) and then used it to create two layers on the pink paper.

Here's the Sketch I used:

Pappy Time!!

I used a great Let's Scrap sketch:

I used the left side of the sketch to create this homage to my wonderful Father-in-law:

My New Favorite Layout!

Here is the Lets' Scrap sketch I used:

And here's my take on it:

I love the little banners on the side but the pictures are just so adorable I can't help but love them!!

Pumpkin Fun!!

Here are the Let's Scrap Sketches I used:
This one I used the left side of the sketch for the right side of my layout.

I used this one for the left side of my layout

And here's my take on the sketches!!

The Challenge for this layout was to use smaller photos in place of a big one, so I used 4 small pictures on the right side instead of a 7.5 x 10 as the sketch called for.

4th of July Fireworks Layout

I used the left side of this weeks Let's Scrap layout:

Here's my take on it:

I will admit I wasn't sure I liked it at first, but once I got it all together it looks great!

I LOVE photo-shopping pictures.  The shot in the middle happened to be taken at the same moment my 2 year old (in my lap) started throwing up!  I was able to remove that from the picture and still make it work!

Organization is NOT My Forte!!

So, I'm not what you might call an "organized person" by an stretch of the imagination.  It's all I can do to keep track of my school stuff!  So when I sat down at my desk today and decided it was time for an overhaul of my "area" I knew I would need some help.  I couldn't bear to take a "before" picture and share my shame with you but here's the "after" with a lot of help from my wonderful husband.
He even switched the hinges on my brown cabinet to make it easier to access!  I love my space now!

A Very Simple Card!

What I love most about this card is how simple it is.  I can use it for any purpose simply by writing the intended message inside!!  I used a Let's Scrap sketch (as usual) to create this but honestly my finished product is much simpler than the sketch's design.

New Birthday Cards!

I used these two Let's Scrap sketches to create these cards.

And here are my results:

I wanted to use up an old kit that I have had in my stash for years!

Just Like Sisters Card

I'm really enjoying making cards, it's fast and easy!  Plus I can use any colors I want to without worrying about matching any photos.  Here is the Let's Scrap sketch I used for this card:

I bought a new punch today (EK Success's Abstract Flower punch) which I LOVE!  It looks like lace!  I paper pieced the flower and the words are a rub on.

One of a Kind Card

I took this Let's Scrap sketch and turned it sideways.  When I laid it out I immediately saw a window and started adding more and more! It came out great!

I really love the "flower box" effect and the tiny butterflies are becoming my signature.

Happy Dragonfly!

Here's a card sketch from Let's Scrap that I really like:

27th Birthday Layout

I used the 12-28-11 Let's Scrap sketch again:

I even won Let's Scrap's weekly prize for posting this!  So exciting!
